Laser cleaning technology helps transform and upgrade the tire industry

The report of the 12th Provincial Party Congress pointed out that we should comprehensively enhance traditional industries, adhere to the direction of high-end, intelligent, and green development, and promote the full coverage of technological transformation of industrial enterprises above designated size. As a major county in traditional industries in the province, Guangrao County in Dongying City has implemented the Chain Economy Campaign to promote the green, high-end, and low-carbon development of advantageous industries such as rubber tires, revitalizing traditional industries and creating new advantages.

The rubber tire industry is a traditional leading industry in Guangrao County, and the cleaning of tire molds is an important part of ensuring tire quality. As a traditional tire mold cleaning technology, glass sand cleaning technology has many disadvantages such as time-consuming, labor-intensive, and irreversible damage to the substrate. How to choose a more efficient, cleaner, and mold free cleaning method is an urgent problem faced by many tire companies. It is reported that Shandong Yongsheng Rubber Group Co., Ltd. has been producing multiple sets of high-end tire molds for many years. Due to the significant damage caused by traditional sandblasting cleaning to the molds, the appearance of the tires will be poor during the production process. At the same time, sandblasting will produce a lot of smoke and dust, which will affect the health of employees. With the increasing demand for mold quality in the company, the innovation of cleaning technology is urgent.

In response to this phenomenon, Jindun Laser Technology (Dongying) Co., Ltd. has innovated and independently developed seven types of laser cleaning equipment. Currently, among many large tire enterprises in Guangrao County, the most commonly used products are handheld laser cleaners and offline fully automatic robot laser cleaners. Many cleaning operators have stated that laser cleaning is relatively clean, easy to operate, and does not damage molds. They can clean 15 to 18 sets of semi steel molds within 8 hours per shift.

It is reported that the handheld laser cleaner can clean about 45 sets of PCR molds per day, and the offline fully automatic robot laser cleaner can clean about 80 sets of PCR molds per day. Currently, Jindun Laser Technology Co., Ltd. is developing an online fully automatic laser cleaner, which can directly clean molds on the production line without disassembling the molds, further reducing costs and improving production efficiency for enterprises. Li Tianwen, the technical director of Jindun Laser Technology (Dongying) Co., Ltd., said that the company has also established an after-sales service point in Guangrao, with a very complete after-sales service system. The maintenance and upkeep of equipment have corresponding cycles, and in case of equipment failure, personnel will be sent to quickly repair and solve problems for the enterprise.

The innovation of production technology is an important driving force for leading enterprises to transform and upgrade, and achieve high-quality development. In the next step, Guangrao County will take the convening of the 12th Provincial Party Congress as a new starting point to plan and promote a number of energy-saving and environmental protection technological transformation projects, promote the green and low-carbon transformation and development of the tire industry, expand and strengthen the real economy, and help Guangrao lead in the high-quality development of counties in the province.
